About the Role
The main duties to be performed by the successful candidate will be:
• Participate in the design and development of various simultaneous aerospace projects, within the
context of a tailored systems engineering approach.
• Compile Statements of Work for contracted electronic design engineers, for the design, manufacture
and delivery of avionics’ subsystems, as defined by the subsystems’ technical requirements
specifications.
• Organize and oversee reviews of the avionics subsystems’ designs.
• Oversee the compilation of subsystems’ mission firmware design specifications by MKA developers, for
use on the specified avionics subsystems.
• Compile functional requirement specifications for any in-house MKA developed avionics subsystems.
• Compile functional specifications for electronic test bench appliances, as well as Windows test
applications, to be used for verification testing of delivered avionics subsystems.
• Manage and oversee the design and development of test bench appliances, as well as Windows
subsystem test applications by MKA electronic engineers and Windows software developers.
• Commission test bench appliances and Windows test applications.
• Compile subsystem test procedures for acceptance of developed avionics subsystems using electronic
test appliances and Windows test applications.
• Execute subsystem verification test procedures using test appliances and applications against the
subsystems’ verification test requirements.
• Participate in integrated system verification testing, with emphasis on performance of avionics
subsystems.
• Perform configuration control of avionics hardware and firmware (including version numbers of
firmware, modification and serial numbers of hardware etc.).
• Provide ongoing guidance to the MKA avionics engineers and firmware developers.
Overseas travel to client sites might be required from time-to-time.
Requirements
The following minimum qualifications, experience, skills and knowledge will be required:
Minimum B.Eng degree in Electronics Engineering.
Minimum 5 years’ work experience in the military and/or commercial industries, utilizing systems engineering principles and methodologies.
In addition to the above, the following will be advantageous:
M.Eng degree in Electronics Engineering.
Knowledge of / experience with GENESYS systems engineering modelling platform (SDL-based);
Knowledge of/experience with managing DO-160G environmental testing (EMI, EMC, vibration, shock etc.).
